Kaneohe, HI- In the annual HPU Invitational, Lisa Castle put in a strong performance finishing second amongst twenty three runners with a time of 27:20 in the 6k race.
Also on the women's side, Deanne Soon finished in 12th place with a time of 30:01. Rachel Martin finished in 31:23, while fellow Lady Sword Jamie Knaus finished in 34:29. Inga Burger of HPU finished first with a time of 26:48.
On the men's side, Keiichi Matsumoto led the Swords with a time of 33:47 in the men's 10k race. Todd Iacovelli from Hawaii Pacific won on the men's side with a time of 29:38.
The Swords are back in action at the Pac West Conference Championships, hosted by UH-Hilo on Saturday, October 21st. The men will run 8k starting at 7:30 AM, the women will run a 6k immediately following.
