Chaminade finishes season at NCAA Regionals

Oroville, CA- In the 2006 NCAA West Regional, Lisa Castle put in a great effort in her final collegiate race, finishing in 42nd place in the 6k with a time of 23:16 to lead the Lady Sword Harriers.

Deanne Soon finished in 24:58 to finish in 97th place in the race. Soon, a junior will be back next year. Amanda Whitford, a sophomore at BYU-Hawaii was the highest placing PacWest runner, finishing 36th with a time of 22:58. Jessica Pixler, a freshman from Seattle Pacific won the regional with a time of 20:46.

The Pac West performed well on the men's side, with Hawaii Pacific's Todd Iacovelli taking home overall top honors with a first place time of 31:58 in the 10k run. Keiichi Matsumoto led the Chaminade men with a time of 37:52. Toby Castro, Ryan Dela Cruz and Ehren Ching finished in 104th, 105th and 106th place respectively.
