Laie, HI- Freshman Garret Prinslow led the way for the Swords in the 2008 Chaminade Invitational. Prinslow finished the 8k event with a time of 27:56. Senior Tyler Pickle finished in 16th with a time of 28:19. Overall, the Sword Men finished in 5th place in the team standings. Winning the race for Hawaii Pacific was Andreas Schwab with a time of 25:40. HPU also won the team title with 43 team points.
On the women's side, CUH was led by Rachel Martin (30th) with a time of 23:46 in the women's 5k. Jamie Knaus (32nd) was close behind with a time of 25:25 and Krystal Walthour finished with a time of 25:32 good for 33rd place. Amanda Whitford of BYU-Hawaii won the event with a time of 18:38, while Hawaii Pacific won the event on the women's side as well, with 26 team points.
The Swords are back in action next Saturday at the UH-Hilo Invitational in Hilo, HI. Race time is set for 8 AM HT.
