PHOENIX, AZ – Chaminade sophomore Garrett Prinslow (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe) was named to this past week's Pac West Men's Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll.
BYU-Hawaii senior Brendan McMaster (Tempe, AZ/Corona Del Sol) has been chosen the Pacific West Conference Men Cross Country Runner of the Week.
The honor was announced by the PacWest Media Office in Phoenix, AZ, on Monday, Sept. 14, for races contested Sept. 5-12.
McMaster captured the Hawai'i Pacific University Invitational at Kualoa Ranch by covering the course in a time of 24:52 on Sept. 5.
PacWest Men's Cross Country Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll
Garrett Prinslow - Chaminade (So., 6-1, Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe)...was the top finisher for the Silverswords at the HPU Invitational on Sept. 5...recorded a time of 26:38...finished eighth among PacWest runners with a time of 27:05.
Stefano Barbis Rochabrun - Hawai'i Hilo (Sr., 5-10, Hilo, HI/Hilo)...finished 12th overall and second among the Vulcans at the HPU Invitational on Sept. 5...posted a time of 26:23...was sixth among PacWest runners...led UHH to a third-place team finish.
Jon Cleghorn - Hawai'i Pacific (So., 6-2, 165, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada/Fredericton)...finished 6th at the HPU Invitational with a time of 25:54...was the top finisher for the Sea Warriors and second among PacWest competitors...led HPU to a first-place team finish.
Flemming Eriksen - Hawai'i Pacific (Fr., 5-10, 150, Honolulu, HI/Kaiser)...finished ninth at the HPU Invitational with a time of 26:08...was second among the Sea Warriors and third among PacWest competitors...helped lead HPU to a first-place team finish.
Matthew Gulden - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 6-2, 160, Simi Valley, CA/Royal)...finished 19th overall and third among Seasider entries at the HPU Invitational on Sept. 5...recorded a time of 27:26...was eighth among PacWest runners...helped BYU-Hawaii to a second-place team finish.
Brandon Krout - BYU-Hawaii (Jr., 5-11, 175, Vancouver, WA/Prarie)...placed 13th overall and second among Seasider entries at the HPU Invitational on Sept. 5...recorded a time of 26:38...was seventh among PacWest runners...helped BYU-Hawaii to a second-place team finish.
Dany Malley - Hawai'i Pacific (So., 5-7, 140, Mississaugua, Ontario, Canada/Lorne Park Secondary)...placed 10th at the HPU Invitational with a time of 26:16...was third among Sea Warrior runners and fourth among all PacWest entries...helped push HPU to a first-place team finish.
Daveson Marindich - Academy of Art (So., 5-9, 120, Eldoret, Kenya)...finished ninth at the University of San Francisco Invitational on Sept. 5 after recording a time of 25:30.20 in the 8K run...placed second among Urban Knight runners.
Amos Maru - Academy of Art (So., 5-9, 130, Nandi Hills, Kenya)...finished fourth at the University of San Francisco Invitational on Sept. 5 after posting a time of 25:10.20 in the 8K run...top finisher among Urban Knight entries.
Keoni Ucker - Hawai'i Hilo (Jr., 6-3, Pahoa, HI/Christian Liberty Academy)...finished 11th overall and first among the Vulcans at the HPU Invitational on Sept. 5...posted a time of 26:18...was fifth among PacWest runners...led UHH to a third-place team finish.
