CUH XC: Men Finish 4th, Women 5th at UH Big Wave Invitational

Sophomore Garrett Prinslow finishes 15th for Swords

Kaneohe, HI- The Swords were back in action this weekend, competing at the UH Big Wave Invitational. Sophomore Garrett Prinslow led the way, turning in a time of 18:04, finishing in 15th place, while junior John Hansen ran a 18:13 5K to finish in 17th place for CUH. Chaminade finished 4th in the team standings on the men’s side. BYU-Hawaii took the team win for the men, while the HPU’s Dany Malley won the individual honors with a 16:39 for the 5K. On the women’s side, Ashlie Salas-Selem led the way for CUH, turning in a time of 18:12 finishing in 33rd place in the 4K. Senior Rachel Martin was the next best Silversword runner, placing 41st with a time of 19:01. The Chaminade women finished in 5th place on the women’s side. BYU-Hawaii’s women took the team title. Jessica Forrester of UH Manoa took individual honors, taking first with a time of 15:05. The Swords are back in action on September 26th, hosting the Chaminade Invitational at Central Oahu Regional Park at 4 PM HT.
