Waipahu, HI- The Swords were back in action this weekend at Central Oahu Regional Park, hosting the Chaminade Invitational. Sophomore Garrett Prinslow (Kailua, HI/Kealakehe) led the way on the men’s side, turning in a time of 28:33, finishing in 15th place, while CUH junior John Hansen (Fairfield, CT/Mt. Bachelor) was right behind him finishing 16th place for CUH.
Chaminade finished 4th in the team standings on the men’s side. BYU-Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific shared the team win for the men, while BYU-Hawaii’s Spencer DeAvilla won the individual honors with a time of 28:26.
On the women’s side, Chaminade graduate student Shelly Wee (Honolulu, HI/Punahou) led the way for CUH, turning in a time of 23:40 finishing in 27th place. BYU-Hawaii’s women took the team title. Lacey Johnson-Krout of BYU-Hawaii took individual honors, taking first with a time of 19:20.
The Swords are back in action on October 3rd to participate in the BYU-Hawaii Invitational at the in Laie, HI. Race is set to start at 8 AM HT.
