San Francisco, CA – The Lady Swords took on the Urban Knights of Academy of Art University and fell by a score of 71 to 49. This was the first game in a up coming four game road trip for the Lady Swords. CUH trailed by 28 to 23 going into the locker room at halftime.
Samantha Saito led the team with 15 points, Brittany Copp added 9 points and Lynette Dalle added 7 points of her own. The shooting percentages in tonight’s game against the Urban Knights of Academy or Art, was the one of the reasons CUH lost this game; they shot just 33% to AAU’s 43%. Both teams shot 74% from the charity line in tonight’s game.
Chaminade was out rebounded by a decisive margin, 28 to 42, the three guard set the Lady Swords are forced to play due to Kayci Will’s injury was really apparent tonight.
Loraine Etchell led all scorers with 23 points, Jessica Nolan added 16 points and Sondra Stilwell added 10 points.
The Swords are back in action against another PacWest Conference opponent on Thursday, March 4th, 2010 at Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA.
Tip off is set for 5:30PM PST. With the loss CUH falls to 1-20 overall, while AAU improves their record to 9-17 overall.
