Golden, CO- The Swords lost a three-set match to the Regis Rangers this evening (25-18, 25-17, 25-18) to conclude the 2010 Oredigger Volleyball Classic.
Junior
Kristy Inamasu (Kahului, HI/Maui) each had 18 digs in the sweep. CUH lost the dig battle 68-53. They tied the block battle with the Rangers 4 to 4.
Junior setter
Tanya Alvino (Brentwood, CA/Liberty) finished with 20 assists for CUH. Senior
Pisila Tukia (Tempe, AZ/Tempe) added 7 kills in the loss.
Chaminade lost the battle of hitting percentage .034 to .206.
Regis was led by Christina Henzgen with 13 kills and 15 digs.
With the loss, Chaminade move to 1-3. Regis moves to 2-2. The Swords are back in action at home on September 9th against Texas Woman’s University at 2 PM HT.
