Honolulu, HI-In the first game of a Chaminade/Cal State East Bay doubleheader, the Pioneers took down the Swords by a score of 8-0.
Chaminade’s Kristy Iwahashi (Pearl City, HI/Pearl City) took two shots for the Swords. Shianna Falk and Ariana Nobrega each tallied two goals and one assist for the Pioneers in the win. Cal State East Bay led 5-0 at the half.
Senior Marissa Minor (Captain Cook, HI/Konawaena) stopped nine shots in defeat.
The Swords were out-shot 25-3.
With the loss, the Swords move to 0-2. Cal State East Bay improves to 2-0-1. Chaminade is back in action on September 16th against HPU. Game time is set for 12:30 PM HT on St. Louis Field.
